2-8-2011 Black clouds, blue sky

We got no snow last night, just rain and that rain went a long way toward reducing the amount of snow still in evidence. This morning there have been breaks of blue sky peeking through the gray and black clouds.  It  will be a wild day weather wise as one front drifts by and another barrels in with high winds and dropping temperatures.  The high temp for the day was 40 degrees at 10 a.m.   Now, with the front here and the winds increasing.. 30 feels like 20! if it was not so cold, it would be great to open the windows and air out the house.. but not quite yet, too cold.

Monday was a great day to be out and about. It has been quite some time since i drove through Quakertown at a leisurely pace, instead of trying to beat the next snow storm. I had heard there were quite a few trees down after the ice storm, but only one or 2 small piles of brush were in evidence.

I always say   ''God loves quakertown''.    We were lucky not to suffer too much destruction with the weather.
Winter continues....
