Some of us enjoy decorating for the holidays, for the seasons or just to bring some relief to the same old things we see day in and out. If you enjoy collecting anything, part of the enjoyment is seeing the collections at least periodically.
I had been trying to come up with an idea to replace the hanging baskets that i generally buy for spring summer fall. Aside from the cost each year, they take a fair amount of work to keep them looking decent. No matter how well intentioned i am.. i tend to loose interest or skip a few crucial waterings by late summer and have less than fabulous flowers languishing into early fall.
Having removed the baskets with their long dead branches in November.. i have been thinking of what to do to distract from the not so interesting walk to the back door. I have a few Christmas/winter things about and i am trying bird houses. I have a few ideas to make them more interesting too.
