Some of the first years here, i planted spring flowering bulbs relentlessly every fall. They did ok, but with so much land to plant and not really planting them in the right locations it was always hit or miss. Still, many bloomed , multiplied and spread.
I planted Siberian squill along the path into the woods. Over time they have spread by wind and insect i am sure, maybe even birds and mice have helped with the spreading. But every spring i see more and more little blue flowers just coming up where ever they please. I like to cut a few and bring them inside. They are sweet little things.

This is a section of the neighbors side yard. not sure why everything migrates over to them, but it is sure a pretty site to see so much blue so early in the spring. |

And what would spring be without periwinkle? |
